Siblings Editorial Review
** Almost Super** "Almost Super" emerges as a delightful chapter book, masterfully designed to engage both children and adults. The narrative captures the imagination of young readers, expressing an enthralling mix of superhero excitement and relatable family experiences. As one reviewer noted, the clever writing keeps children—especially those like the 6 ½-year-old grandson—eagerly turning pages, often leading to binge reading sessions where families share the adventure together. The book serves as an excellent introduction to longer chapter books for young readers, with many parents and grandparents highlighting not just the enjoyment it provides to kids, but also the joy of reading together as a family. The characters are well-developed and lovable, particularly highlighted through examples like the character Juanita, which makes the story even more engaging. Furthermore, "Almost Super" offers more than just fun; it resonates deeply with messages of perseverance and resilience, making it a meaningful read for children aged 6 to 10. The humor sprinkled throughout the text appeals to a wider audience, ensuring that it’s enjoyable for adults reading along with their children. Overall, "Almost Super" can be touted as a must-read for families, with its smart narrative and heartwarming moments marking it as a classic in the making. Many readers are not just satisfied; they find themselves captivated enough to acquire sequels as soon as they are available, indicating a strong reception and a hopeful anticipation for more stories to come. **
