How does the EXO SwingBase system work with the GearLocker?

The EXO SwingBase system serves as a versatile platform that enables quick attachment and detachment of various accessories, including the GearLocker. Its spacious interior allows for organized packing, making it ideal for family vacations, weekend getaways, or outdoor adventures. With its heavy-duty construction, you can trust that your belongings will be securely stored, no matter the journey.

Is the GearLocker waterproof?

Yes, the Yakima EXO GearLocker is designed with weather-resistant materials to protect your gear from moisture and rain. Its hard top shell structure is engineered to withstand harsh weather conditions, ensuring that your items remain dry. This makes it an excellent choice for any type of travel, whether it's a sudden downpour during a road trip or a camping adventure in varied climates.

How does the GearLocker attach to my vehicle?

The GearLocker attaches to the EXO SwingBase system using a simple hitch mechanism, designed for compatibility with most standard vehicles. Installation is straightforward and does not require advanced tools. This means you can spend less time setting up and more time enjoying your outdoor activities. Just slide the GearLocker onto the SwingBase and secure it in place for a reliable hold.

What materials are used in the construction of the GearLocker?

The EXO GearLocker is constructed with heavy-duty, high-quality materials that ensure longevity and durability. The hard shell is made from impact-resistant plastic, able to withstand rough handling and extreme conditions. This rugged design makes it an ideal companion for those who frequently travel or engage in outdoor sports, ensuring that gear remains safe and intact.

Can the GearLocker be used for everyday storage needs?

Absolutely! While the Yakima EXO GearLocker is designed for travel, it can also fulfill everyday storage requirements, whether you need space for tools, sports equipment, or seasonal items. Its versatile nature makes it suitable for daily outdoor enthusiasts, contractors, or anyone seeking additional storage solutions in their vehicle. This flexibility adds value beyond just travel use.

How do I maintain the Yakima EXO GearLocker?

Maintaining the GearLocker is simple and requires minimal effort. Regularly check for dirt or debris and clean it with mild soap and water to avoid scratches and keep it looking new.
